[this song started as a joke by an evil former governor and turned into a music video in my head. recorded alex playing drums. had James Force come by and throw down some amazing bass (he has 6 layers during the "flight"). at that point i realized that i had the musical solo for the "creative" period of the song (and was off of guitar solos at that moment) so i took a stab at a more conservative approach to violin. Liz put down the written parts and then had a canvas to tell a story with a double-tracked solo and the video is "in talks".]
lyrics
and they told me that she couldn't leave
but she'd go and it'd show and we'd know that it's a better way
and you know that we are foresaken
gravity, so it seems, pulls apart all the dreams of the day
oh my little lune
and you'd find that you're free when she leaves you
all the lies from the skies hide the world from our eyes all the days
and you know inside you'd see that pretty little lawn in the daytime
numbers cold and prime confine this great grace
